About
Youtag Graphic Design is a graphic design studio run by Paul Schroeder, a freelance graphic designer living and working in Luxembourg, Europe.
Experimenting with art and web technologies is one of my favorite hobbies. I am also developing things like WordPress plugins or AS3 classes and may publish code snippets here from time to time and hopefully I can give back something to the open source community which I believe in.
Apart from coding and design, I am also passionate about art, traveling, photography, technology, history and particularly the evolution, typography, good food … and the intelligence of matter (or, whatever keeps the universe in motion).
Experience
I have studied fine arts with and specialized in graphic design at Saint-Luc in Brussels where I graduated in 2001. I have been working as a graphic designer ever since. I have had the opportunity to work for a publisher, two communication agencies and as a freelance designer. Among others, I have helped developing the layout for a newspaper and two magazines, created exposition concepts for three museums and gained a good experience in communication and advertisement design.

Web development
Web design came naturally to me through my obsession with coding and computers which was already born since I got my hands on a commodore 64 personal computer. I value good web design and have a strong believe in open standards and standard compliant markup language. My coding experience ranges from Basic, TurboPascal, C++ to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL and the Adobe Flash script languages ActionScript 2&3. Since Flash is not (yet) fully open, it may be replaced more and more by an upcoming technology implemented in HTML5: the <canvas> tag.
